A Stronger Tomorrow
On Sunday, October 26, 2025, it was a privilege to gather with brothers, friends, and guests to celebrate West Virginia Alpha’s Founder’s Day and Homecoming while also marking the successful completion of the Live Ever. Die Never. A Stronger Tomorrow Campaign. The day served as a powerful reminder of who we are as Phi Psi men and what we can accomplish together.
The program began with a warm welcome and invocation, setting the tone for a meaningful morning of reflection and celebration. Over brunch, we heard updates on the state of the chapter and the house, including remarks from House Corporation President John Miesner ’81, who highlighted the care, stewardship, and vision guiding 780 Spruce Street. Undergraduate Chapter President Garrett King ’23shared encouraging insights into the strength of today’s chapter and its continued commitment to living our values.
One of the most meaningful moments of the program was the presentation of the 2025 Seth Underwood Memorial Scholarship. Presented by Owen T. Gray ’18, the scholarship was awarded to Alex Dunheimer ’20 in recognition of his academic excellence and dedication to Phi Kappa Psi.
I was honored to formally announce the successful conclusion of our campaign. Together, 156 donors made 470 gifts totaling $1,188,890. These funds will support critical renovations to our chapter house and establish the Endowed Chapter OneFund, ensuring lasting support for scholarships, leadership development, and educational programming for generations to come.
We also recognized brothers through the awarding of Phi Psi recognition pins, celebrating commitment, loyalty, and service to West Virginia Alpha. Members of the Class of 1975 were honored with their 50-year alumni pins.
50-Year Alumni Pins (Class of 75):

- Mike Clowser
- John Idone
- Pat Parsons

We were especially honored to welcome West Virginia University President Michael T. Benson, who shared an update on the university and his vision for WVU during his first 100 days as president. His remarks emphasized academic excellence, innovation, and student engagement, while reaffirming the vital role of alumni and tradition.
Following the program, 31 brothers and guests toured the WVU Baseball Biomechanics and Performance Center, a remarkable facility made possible through the generosity of brothers Rick and Jay Wagener ’69. The day truly reflected the spirit of Live Ever. Die Never. and our shared belief in a stronger tomorrow for West Virginia Alpha.
In the Bond,
